To me, sequential art, and comics are a means of specifically organizing and categorizing moments, feelings, and space. The space between panels (known as a gutter) gives your brain a moment to process before moving on to the next concept. In comics, sometimes what isn’t said, or what happens outside of the narrative box, can hold equal weight for the reader.
